本質的な適応性を、組織にスケールする
LeSS Company Japan provides learning support and networking opportunities for practitioners of Scrum and LeSS (Large-Scale Scrum).
LeSS is a framework that extends beyond DX (Digital Transformation) and focuses on enhancing the overall competitiveness of organizations.
When I first established Japan’s first Scrum community, there were hardly any opportunities to learn Scrum. Since then, the learning environment for Scrum in Japan has significantly improved, and numerous case studies have emerged. I have observed and supported this progress in my own small way.
However, truly implementing Scrum requires adoption at the organizational level, not just at the project level. Unfortunately, simply learning Scrum is not enough to drive real learning and improvement. Additionally, many organizations are attempting to introduce Scrum without understanding organizational models, leading to implementations that break Scrum rather than enabling it. This is a concerning and regrettable trend.
I was aware of this issue but chose to leave it unaddressed. This was because I was initially skeptical about scaling frameworks. The reason for my skepticism was that many frameworks focus solely on "methods" while lacking fundamental principles.
So why did I choose LeSS and decide to learn and grow together with others? Through numerous discussions with Craig Larman and learning from his classes, I realized that LeSS is not merely about scaling—it maintains the core principles of Scrum while applying them across the entire organization. This is a crucial value.
Because I deeply value this principle, I decided to establish a community and conference to share this knowledge and learn together with peers in Japan and across Asia.
